Overview
These are the .fastq sequence files output from the Illumina Genome Analyzer DNA sequencer. These data from full length cDNA sequencing of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae were analyzed in the study, Measuring differential gene expression by short read sequencing: quantitative comparison to 2-channel gene expression microarrays. Joshua S Bloom*, Zia Khan*, Leonid Kruglyak, Mona Singh, and Amy A Caudy. BMC Genomics 2009, 10:221 doi:10.1186/1471-2164-10-221.

Sequence Information
The BY4716 strain is very close in sequence to the reference strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The reference sequence is available from the Saccharomyces Genome Databasae. The RM11-a strain was sequenced by the Broad Insitute, and the data is available at http://www.broad.mit.edu/annotation/genome/saccharomyces_cerevisiae/Home.htmlMicroarray Data
The array data was from the publication, Gene-Environment Interaction in Yeast Gene Expression. Erin N Smith and Leonid Kruglyak, PLoS Biol. 2008 April; 6(4): e83. The array data is available from GEO as GSE9376.
