In the 3 month stint, I proposed the application of Non-negative Matrix Factorization technique for Detection of Plant-Wide oscillation detection and diagnosis using novel interpretations and new measures. I also proposed an automated algorithm for determination of dimensionality of the technique.

ITC Ltd. Indian Leaf Tobacco Development Division, Guntur

Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras
Faculty Advisor: Prof. M. S. Ananth (Direction IIT Madras), Prof. B Viswanathan (IIT Madras)
Jan ’06 – May ‘07

I worked on Study of dynamic and steady state behavior of Direct Methanol Fuel Cells as my dual degree thesis project. I proposed and simulated a critical set of reactions of the large set of reactions that take place in the fuel cell that are required to explain the steady state behavior of the cell for different amounts of current.
